This is Max the werewolf. He's from a world where monsters like him are the dominant species (like vampires, wizards and witches, werewolves, halloween monsters like that). They're all pretty much a normal place like in Hotel Transylvania. 

Max is a tough, rebellious, and upset little pup who's not that big of a jerk when he starts to like you. He'll actually be really nice and joke around with you and help you out on whatever emotional problem you're going through. Other than that though, if you piss him off you're straight up dead.

His story is he's from a family of 7; two parents and 4 other sisters. He's the second youngest of the pack. He and his family are currently in a feud with another pack. The reason being his family is more human than wolf and the other pack is more wolf than human, and they basically argue about which is better for their kind. Max's dad expects him to take over as leader of the pack one day (seeing as he's his only son), but Max is like "uh, helz no." and goes out on his own. He eventually stumbles into this witch who's willing to help him escape from his dad/family. So the witch creates a spell for him. What he doesn't realize is what the spell actually does, which is send him to another world where he escapes his own home world entirely. And he ends up on earth where he meets Al for the first time.
